March 1992 - The MES concept developed by the Russian-American Institute of Pedagogical systems (IPS). The concept was presented to the Moscow Department of Education, Education commission of the Moscow City Council, and it received support and approval.July 29, 1992
July 29, 1992 - Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, on suggestion from the chairperson of MED Lubov Kezina, signet the order allowing the Russian-American Institute of Pedagogical systems for the foundation of MES to the property at 4a, Krasnaya Presnya Street for twenty-five years.August 1992
August 1992 - The leaders of IPS met with the chairman of the Moscow Stock Exchange Committee, Yuri Milikov. Representatives of Moscow Business circles expressed their support for the idea of the formation of MES. Work on the founders' documents and the formation of MES Board of Trustees and consultants started at that point.January 14, 1993
January 14, 1993 - The founders signed the Regulations and the Founder's Agreement of the MES foundation.February 1, 1993
February 1, 1993 - The first meeting of the MES Board of Trustees was held. Yuri Milicov was elected chairman. The leaders of Incombank, Moscow City Telephone Network, Orgbank. East-West Bank, joint stock Company "ATEKS", Moscow Telecommunication Corporation, and joint stock company "Depository" were elected committee members.June 17, 1993

July 26, 1993 - The first group of American teachers arrived in Moscow to work at MES.October 4, 1993
October 4, 1993 - Classes were not held at MES because of the political events in October. The building at 9/4, Krasnaya Presnya street, in which the classes were to be held that day and where the American teachers are living now, was surrounded by government troops.October 8, 1993

March 1, 1994 – Incombank became the third investor of MES. The bank opened a line of credit for reconstruction of the school building at 4a, Krasnaya Presnya Street, in the amount of 1.5 Billion RublesMarch 1994
March 1994 – the first international exchange of students took place. The students of the 10th grade spent their vacation in Paris.1 September 1994
1 September 1994 – The school finished the reconstruction of a five story building at 4a, Krasnaya Presnya. This allowed an increase in the number of school students to 170. Attendees at the ceremony starting the 1995/1995 school year included Vice-Premier and Minister of Economy of Russian Federation, Shochin A.N.; Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation, Tolkachev O.M.; Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Moscow Department of Education, Kezina L.P.; and Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Asmolov A.G.September-October 1994
September-October 1994 – MES established the Junior Sport School "Moscow Giraffes" and the Children's Music School "Kamerton" (Tuning Fork) for boys and girls who wish specialilize in sport and music.October, 1994
October, 1994 – Mrs. M. Flodman, the regional director of the International Baccalaureate Organization for central and eastern Europe, makes her first visit to the school.1994
1994 – One of the founders of the School International Russian-American Institute of Pedagogical Systems in cooperation with West Ontario University (Canada) prepared and printed the First Textbook on Civic education "Democracy: the State and Society for 10-11 grade of secondary schools, lyceums and colleges. MES became the first school where the new textbook was approbated. In connection with this in November 1994 MES and American Federation of Teachers together with "Uchitelskaya Gazeta" organized the first all-Russia Conference on civic education.April 1995
April 1995 – MES was certified as a complete secondary school and in June 1005 the first group of pupils finished the school.April 1995
April 1995 – The creative laboratory headed by Sh. A. Amonashvil was established at the Institute. Amonashvil worked out a conception of the initial step of education MES which was called "School of Life".summer holiday of 1995
Summer holiday of 1995 – For the first students of MES went for language training to USA and Great Britain.July 1995
July 1995 – Teachers of MES participated in the seminars held in Bratislava by the International Baccalaureate Organization .1995-96
1995-96 – joined Association for Advancement of International Education (USA). The Teachers' Carrier Center was opened for improvement of teachers' professional skills. "Uchitelskaya Gazeta" published the treatise "School of Life| by Amonashvil.7 September 1995
7 September 1995 – Mayor U.M. Luzhkov signet a direction to erect a new building for MES at 37, Zamoryonova Street. The financial share of MES in the construction of the building constitutes 40% of total budget. Work on the building began soon thereafter.April 1996
April 1996 – MES opened a pre-school department for children of 3-4 years the Arkhangelskoye estate near Moscow.An agreement for cooperation with Higher School of Economics (HSE) was signet. Classes for further education at HSE were organized at MES.
Menatep Bank, Sberbank and Alfa Bank joined the Board of Trustees.

June 1996 – MES became the first Russian school to offer the International Baccalaureate program.27-28 June 1996
27-28 June 1996 – The seminar "Truth and Lies about International Education" prepared by teachers of MES together with the Russian Representation of the International Baccalaureate Organization was held at MES.1 September 1996
1 September 1996 – The first foreign students entered MES: a students from the United States and a student from Finland. The total number of students at the School was 274.Moscow Economic School was a laureate of the "School of the Year 96" competition.

MES entered the group of the international schools which are working out a new model of primary education (Schools ISCPP).May 1997
May 1997 – The European Council of International Schools accepted MES as one of its members.1 September 1997
1 September 1997 The first class of International Baccalaureate was opened. Four Students were selected to this class by competition. The total number of students at MES reached 305.14 November 1997
14 November 1997 – The Heads of the Moscow Stock Exchange and the Russian-American Institute of Pedagogical Systems, Sberbank, Income Bank, Moscow Inter-Bank Stock Exchange, East- West Bank, Golden Line Co and the First Corporation of National Development joined the Board of Founders.28 November 1997
28 November 1997 – "Rules and Regulations of Moscow Economic School" was adopted by the Board of Founders.29 January-1 February
29 January-1 February – Twelve students of MES took part in the Music Competition in Dusseldorf, Germany. All of them became laureates of the competition.1 August 1998
1 August 1998 – Inauguration Day of the new school building at 37, Zamarenova Street.
